New record prize money at NRHA Germany Major shows
The NRHA Germany Major shows are luring in 2023 with unprecedented prize money. A new deposit high into the NRHA Germany Foal Nomination Program (FNP) catapults the NRHA Germany Breeders Derby and NRHA Germany Breeders Futurity above a projected total purse of $470,000!
The number of foals paid into the NRHA Germany FNP in the 2022 foal crop reached a new milestone of more than 1,000 youngsters. That's a good 200 more foals nominated than the year before. This overwhelming reception for the reining breeding support program ensures that the prize money at the NRHA Germany Breeders shows skyrockets. This year, the Breeders Derby is looking at a projected total purse of $170,000 and the Breeders Futurity is looking at a whopping $300,000. With these projected prize pools, NRHA Germany's two top events will reach a new record high and once again catapult themselves to the top of the European rankings. The NRHA Germany board is thrilled: "It's great to see that our FNP is so well received. That was exactly the intention of this program, to further develop the SSP as a breeding support program in such a way that it both benefits the horses paid in and strengthens the NRHA Germany Breeders Events, through steadily increasing prize money." This year will mark only the second FNP paid-up foal crop to compete. If the FNP continues to be so well received, it can be assumed that the prize money of the Breeders Derby and the Breeders Futurity will increase even more in the coming years.
Both major shows will take place in Kreuth in 2023 and it is important to make a note of the dates in your calendar now. The Breeders Derby will be held June 11-16 and paid-up horses five years and older are eligible to compete. The Breeders Futurity will be held October 07-14, and paid-up horses 3 and 4 years of age are eligible to compete.
